A short how-to video on the proper techniques for sharpening an increment borer using an increment borer sharpening kit. It is not recommended that you over-sharpen your increment borer (this could make the bit brittle and prone to breaking), you should only sharpen it if it needs to be sharpened. 

Remember: Clean your increment borer frequently (using a gun cleaning kit) and apply WD-40 to prevent deterioration and rusting.
